It was an absolute pleasure to be a part of that incredible wedding.

We drove through the whole country of Ireland to photograph Susie & Eoghan’s special day. Starting at the charming Irish farmhouse – Hideaway at Foxhollow where Susie stayed the night before . What a place! Warm , stunning house and gardens – really the perfect place to hideaway and relax.

Clonabreany country house where the wedding was organised. Just WOW! Breath-taking venue …

Enjoy the story 🙂

Susie: I always knew myself and Eoghan would be long-term ever since the beginning.

When we moved in together after about 5 years of dating was probably when we both knew!

We viewed 3 venues but as soon as we came to Clonabreany House we knew it was the one! We both loved the location, the house, the grounds and the idea of an outdoor ceremony. I got to work planning the wedding instantly…I went crazy on pinterest, started googling dresses, decorations etc! I sourced where to get everything we needed way in advance so when the time came to ordering items I already knew where to find them and how much they were.

We wanted the day to be very relaxed and our guests to have a fun time. We opted for a humanist celebrant who is a family friend.

The hardest thing was creating the guest list and table plan, they both definitely caused a few heated discussions!!

Eoghan: My brother who was the groomsman left his shoes, socks and shirt in Dublin and only realised this when we arrived at Clonabreany. Luckily for him we were prepared and had spare shirts and socks. He then had to drive into Kells to get new shoes, but had to wait until 2pm, as the shop was closed for lunch!! Luckily he made it back in time!

Susie: The highlight of the day was seeing Eoghan at the altar and also seeing all the planning coming together! I had envisioned how it would look but it was so nice to see it in person. My uncle also surprised us by singing us a song he had recently recorded. We had no idea and will be something we never forget!

Eoghan : For me my highlight was being with family and friends, celebrating and having fun. Like Susie, it was great to see the day coming together after all the planning.

The day went too fast! We booked a gorgeous cottage for my family the night before the wedding, Hideaway at Foxhollow in Fordstown, Co. Meath, while Eoghan stayed with his family in Dublin. It was a perfect place to relax the night before and get ready the morning of! Hair and makeup arrived in the morning, which went smoothly, but time went so fast!

Our ceremony was at 2:30 and we arrived at Clonabreany by 1:30pm. Last minute prep was done and I just had enough time to have a glimpse of myself in my dress before making my way to the ceremony! From the ceremony right through until the early hours of Saturday morning we had an absolute blast and would do it all again in a heartbeat!
